ENERGY WISE Citations of Excellence

Citation Ceremonies

Hydro-Québec has honored 60 business customers and 26 of their consulting partners by awarding them ENERGY WISE Citations of Excellence at special awards ceremonies held in Montréal and Québec. Five customers earned their citations for having completed the greatest number of projects under the Empower Programs. This is Hydro-Québec's way of highlighting outstanding participants in its various energy efficiency programs.

All the projects that earned citations were carried out under the Building Optimization and Industrial Systems components of the Empower Program, and some also benefited from the Efficient Products Programs or Traffic Light Optimization Program—which goes to show that there are all kinds of ways to save energy!

These business customers generated combined annual savings of some 60 million kWh, the equivalent of the yearly residential consumption of everyone in Beloeil!

The certificates handed out at the two ceremonies, attended by over 200 people, attest to the quality of the projects and reward the leaders who have made energy efficiency a cornerstone of their sustainable development strategy. To publicize this tribute, Hydro-Québec will be placing ads in the main dailies and regional papers.
