A message from the patron of the Competition

I am very pleased, once again, to be the patron of the ENERGY WISE Competition of Excellence. The first Competition, in 2008, attracted a great deal of interest and honored the performances of our dynamic and firmly committed business customers and partners.

The initiatives that we recognize have yielded significant energy savings and constitute compelling evidence of our partners' and customers' will to contribute to sustainable development and preserve the quality of life for the next generations.

For Hydro-Québec, energy efficiency is the roadmap for a sustainable future. Active participation in the ENERGY WISE Competition of Excellence demonstrates the concerted efforts of our institutional, industrial and agricultural business customers and partners (retailers, distributors, consultants, manufacturers and manufacturers' agents, and master electricians), the organizations and people whose efforts are crucial to the attainment of our objectives.

Every action counts and it is our great pleasure to help make your efforts known. I therefore encourage everyone to enter our ENERGY WISE Competition of Excellence.
