When you plant a tree, be sure to maintain the required minimum clearance from power lines to prevent outages and nuisances in the future. Tree selection tool.

If vegetation is too close to a power line, contact Hydro-Québec.

Nothing within 3 metres

Nothing is allowed to come within three metres of a power line when you are doing work outside the house (pool maintenance, scaffolding, tree pruning, etc.).

If you must dig
