New Mont-Tremblant 120/25-kV substation, commissioned December 1, 2009, view from south.

Construction of new electrical facilities at Mont-Tremblant, begun in September 2008, has now been completed. The new 120/25 kV transformer substation and two new 120-kV transmission lines were commissioned on December 1, 2009. Mont-Tremblant substation, in combination with Ouimet substation, will ensure a reliable supply of electricity in the area for many years to come.

All the different phases of the project–beginning with the earliest preliminary studies back in 2002, then continuing with consultations, approvals and construction–were carried out on time and on budget. Hydro-Québec would like to thank the Town of Mont-Tremblant, Les Laurentides RCM, local economic and environmental organizations and the residents of Mont-Tremblant for their cooperation throughout the process.
