The 350-MW Rivière-du-Moulin wind farm is among the projects selected in Hydro-Québec's second round of tendering for the purchase of wind power. It will be built in Charlevoix and Fjord-du-Saguenay regional county municipalities (MRCs), in the unorganized territories of Lac-Pikauba and Lac-Ministuk.
Hydro-Québec plans to build a 345-kV single-circuit line about 26 km long to connect the future wind farm's switchyard to the Delisle–Laurentides line (circuit 3095). The study area for the construction of the tie line is located in MRC of Charlevoix, in the unorganized territory of Lac-Pikauba, and in MRC of La Côte-de-Beaupré in the unorganized territory of Lac-Jacques-Cartier.
Work is expected to start in winter 2013–2014, with commissioning slated for the summer of 2014.
