Rupert River: km 0 – km 333

Modified Navigating Conditions
2009-2010

Société d'énergie de la Baie James (SEBJ) wishes to inform you that there will be construction work on the Rupert River in 2009 and 2010.

The work, which may include blasting, will take place at Km 20, 33, 49, 85, 110, 170, 223, 290, and 314. The water level will drop in some stretches of the river in 2010; however, these stretches will remain navigable.

During the summer of 2009, an initial rise in water level in the stretch between Rupert dam (Km 314) and the outlet of Mesgouez Lake (Km 333) may lead to the presence of floating wood debris.

In 2010, after the Rupert diversion becomes operational, the water level will reach its highest point in the stretch upstream of the dam (Km 314 to Km 333).

KM 0 - KM 314 - Aire de travaux (2009-2010) - Baisse du niveau d'eau (2010) KM 314 - KM 333 - Présence de bois flottant (2009-2010) - Hausse du niveau d'eau (2009-2010)
