Expedition
Two thousand kilometres in a fraction of a second—that’s how fast electrons shoot across Québec, bringing power to Quebecers at every instant. Hydro-Québec has challenged an ultramarathoner to travel 2,000 km in under 80 days.
Starting from Natashquan at the easternmost point of the grid, Caroline Côté will make her way to Montréal via the Romaine complex, Manic and the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region.
As she racks up the kilometres, Caroline will draw attention to the vastness of Québec and the unique people who live here. The électrON expedition is a one-of-a-kind athletic challenge that also focuses on the know-how behind Québec’s immense power grid. An extraordinary human adventure fed by our collective energy and with an eye on the future.
