Anjou Substation and 315-kV Transmission Line
Host environment and study areas
The study area is mainly located in the east end of Montréal. The project will affect the following four boroughs:
- Rivière‑des‑Prairies–Pointe‑aux‑Trembles
- Anjou
- Saint-Léonard
- Montréal-Nord
The study area is large enough to encompass all aspects of the human and natural environment likely to be affected by the project. Covering approximately 35 km2, the boundaries of the study area are Highway 40 to the south, Pie‑IX Boulevard to the west, Bout‑de‑l’Île substation to the east, and north of Henri-Bourassa Boulevard to the north.
Most of the study area is in a largely industrial zone east of Highway 25. On the west side of the highway, the study area includes commercial, industrial and residential areas.
