Financial assistance to convert a natural gas heating system to dual energy (electricity and natural gas)
Under a partnership between the Québec government, Énergir and Hydro-Québec, you may be eligible for financial assistance to cover a significant portion of the costs to purchase and install a dual-energy heating system.
Participants benefit from recurring savings on their energy bill, largely due to Hydro-Québec’s dual-energy Rate DT.

Rénoclimat
Thinking of insulating and draftproofing your home and replacing your doors and windows? The Rénoclimat program provides financial assistance for renovation projects to help you maximize your savings. To be eligible, you must assess your home’s energy efficiency before the project gets underway, carry out the renovations and then reevaluate your home’s energy efficiency. If the work makes your home more energy efficient and you meet the program conditions, you will receive the financial assistance.

Novoclimat
The Novoclimat program promotes the construction of new high-energy-efficiency homes according to specific requirements. In a new Novoclimat home, occupants save 20% on their energy costs compared to a dwelling built according to Québec’s Construction Code and benefit from greater comfort and indoor air quality.
The financial assistance is granted to buyers, and first-time buyers receive double the amount. For multi-unit residential buildings, the financial assistance is granted to the developer. For more information, go to the Novoclimat website.
