Financial assistance for converting heating systems fueled solely by natural gas to dual energy (electricity and natural gas)

Under a partnership between the Québec government, Énergir and Hydro-Québec, the Chauffez vert program provides financial assistance covering a major portion of the purchase and installation costs of a dual-energy heating system.

Participants can achieve recurring savings on their overall energy bill, largely thanks to Hydro-Québec’s advantageous dual-energy rate (Rate DT).

Thinking of insulating and draftproofing your home, replacing your doors and windows or installing mechanical systems? The Rénoclimat® program, offered by the government agency Transition énergétique Québec, provides assistance for renovation projects to help you maximize your savings. A Rénoclimat advisor will assess your home’s energy efficiency and determine its airtightness by conducting a blower door test to identify and quantify any air leaks. The advisor will give your home an energy rating based on these results and suggest retrofits to improve your home’s energy efficiency.
