You recently invested in an efficient heat pump and now you want to take advantage of financial assistance available under Hydro‑Québec's LogisVert program? Great! For the best chance of success, be sure to avoid these common mistakes when submitting your application.
1. Not providing the correct numbers
Serial number, model number, AHRI number . . . how can you be sure you've got all these important numbers right? Not to worry, we've got you covered.
- AHRI number: This number certifies that your heat pump meets the performance standards of the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute. It is generally indicated on the invoice. If not, please ask your installation company.
- RBQ licence number: You'll find this number, issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec, on the invoice of the company that did the installation work. It consists of 10 digits and is generally indicated as follows: RBQ licence: XXXX‑XXXX‑XX.
- Serial number: Often preceded by S/N, this number is generally found on the system's nameplate, often on the heat pump's outdoor unit. It could also be indicated on a white label affixed to the outdoor unit. It is a single number consisting of letters, digits or both.
- Model number: This number is indicated on the nameplate of the outdoor unit or invoice. Make sure you have the right number—the model number corresponds to the exact type and features of your heat pump.

2. Poor-quality photo of the nameplate
A blurry or illegible photo of the nameplate on the outdoor unit could cause delays in the processing of your application. To avoid this:
- Take the photo before the final installation of the unit, because it might be more difficult to do so once the unit is installed close to the outdoor wall or at a certain height.
- Make sure the photo is well-framed and that all the information is legible. A clear, sharp photo is essential for the rapid processing of your application.
3. Required documents missing
It is essential that you provide all required supporting documents to avoid delays. Make sure you attach all the documents requested, including the photo of the nameplate and any other necessary proof of purchase or installation.
4. Failure to meet eligibility criteria
Before submitting your application, make sure your heat pump and the installation work meet the program's eligibility criteria. You can find detailed information on eligible efficient heat pumps and installation work in the Participant's Guide for Residential Customers [PDF 223 KB] on the Hydro‑Québec website. If you don't meet these criteria, your application could be rejected.
5. Incomplete or inaccurate information
Make sure that all the information provided in your application is complete and accurate. Errors or omissions could cause processing delays or even the rejection of your application. Take the time to review each section of the form before you submit it.
By avoiding these common mistakes, you'll increase your chances of receiving financial assistance for the purchase and installation of your efficient heat pump. Prepare all the necessary information, take clear and sharp photos, and make sure you meet the eligibility criteria.
