Follow the instructions to set the clock. [PDF 72 kB].
It’s very important to set the right time on your ETS heating system. The time of day determines when the system’s elements shut off so you can start saving with Rate Flex D. The clock should keep time, even in the event of a power failure, but you may have to reset it if the outage lasts several days.
Because you use your heating system in the winter, always set the clock to Eastern Standard Time.
If you’re having difficulty using your system or if it doesn’t seem to be working as it should, contact the installer. Your system may still be under warranty. You can also contact another authorized Steffes dealer.
Yes, it is, but the systems aren’t currently available in Québec.
With Rate Flex D, you save most of the time in winter, that is, during all the hours when there is no peak demand event. Heating accounts for about 50% of a household’s electricity bill, so electric thermal storage is a simple and easy solution to reduce your electricity use during winter peak events, without any extra effort on your part.
