- Two cascaded 50-kW aerothermal heat pumps combined with a propane heating system
A heating system combining heat pumps and propane runs primarily on electricity with propane used during periods of extreme cold or when Hydro‑Québec asks greenhouse growers enrolled in the Additional Electricity Option to interrupt the electrical load related to heating.
