Often carried out by a consulting engineering firm, an energy analysis assesses energy use and prioritizes the most beneficial measures from the technical, energy and economic standpoints.
Energy efficiency measures
Up to $50,000 in financial support to cover the eligible costs, including in-house labour, of an energy analysis aimed solely at implementing energy efficiency measures.

Up to $60,000 in financial support to cover the eligible costs, including in-house labour, of an energy analysis aimed at implementing energy efficiency and demand response measures.

How can I benefit from the financial support?
When you participate in the program, Hydro-Québec experts are available to assist you at every step of your analysis project.
Read the eligibility criteria and terms and conditions
Before you start your project, make sure you understand the eligibility requirements and terms and conditions.
To be eligible, the building must:

Be located in Québec and used for commercial, industrial or institutional purposes

Receive electricity from the Hydro-Québec grid or an eligible off-grid or municipal system

Consume at least 1 GWh annually (reference consumption)

Plan your analysis project
Plan your analysis project with your team and choose a partner like a specialized company or consulting engineering firm who can guide you.

Submit an energy analysis proposal
Download and fill out the energy analysis proposal form and send it to the email address indicated on the form.
We’ll evaluate your request and determine whether your project is approved.

Once you’ve carried out the energy analysis, send us the report so we can confirm its compliance and pay the first instalment of 40% of eligible costs.
The second instalment of 60% of eligible costs will be paid once you’ve implemented at least one of the measures included in your analysis.

The Energy Analysis component is for businesses with one or more commercial, institutional, industrial or agricultural buildings that receive electricity from the Hydro-Québec grid or an eligible off-grid, municipal or cooperative system.
To be eligible for this component, your business must have an annual consumption of at least 1 GWh.
