The Efficient Solutions Program is constantly evolving to help business customers achieve a faster return on their energy efficiency and demand response projects. Financial support measures are regularly updated to encourage exploration of new opportunities for energy management optimization that stimulate business growth.

Start preparing for the next update now

To increase predictability for you—our customers and partners—we’d like to tell you about the changes coming to the next version of the OSE tool (5.1) and the Energy Analysis available under the Efficient Solutions Program. The changes will take effect on March 31.

New measures and features with OSE 5.1

Version 5.1 of the Efficient Solutions calculation tool (OSE) will incorporate new features providing businesses and other organizations with access to even more generous financial support. ENERGY STAR® certified split system aerothermal heat pumps (cold climate and regular) could generate significant savings as a result of the new support measures being introduced.

OSE 5.1 will also incorporate new features you’re sure to appreciate: integration of the ENERGY STAR® API to facilitate input of required data, and the addition of a drop-down menu for the hours of operation of an aerothermal heat pump on an air conditioner that could maximize the return on your investment.

Good to know:

Projects starting on or after March 31 must be submitted using OSE 5.1. Previous versions will remain available depending on the work start date. Refer to the OSE page.

Energy Analysis update

An Energy Analysis is a good starting point for any business that wants to find out how to optimize the energy performance of its buildings, equipment or processes. The financial support we offer supports businesses in this endeavour.

As of March 31, customers wishing to analyze their demand response will be able to obtain financial support when they combine this assessment with an energy efficiency analysis.

The maximum eligible amount will increase to $60,000. The cap on financial support for an analysis that only covers energy efficiency will remain at $50,000.

From now on, only businesses with an annual consumption of at least 1 GWh will be eligible for financial assistance for an energy analysis.

To get the most out of this update, remember that our team and the specialized firms in the market can support you every step of your project.
