As of March 31, 2025, the bonus financing for the installation of smart equipment in new constructions was slightly reduced:

Smart thermostats – The bonus financing was reduced from 15% to 10% and a cap of $400 per unit was introduced.
Smart equipment combining thermostats and charging stations – The bonus financing went from 25% to 15% and a cap of $750 per unit was introduced.

Financial assistance of $750 per 1000 BTU/h is currently available for the installation of a geothermal heat pump in a new single‑family home.

Starting August 25, 2025, a $54,000 maximum will apply, which corresponds to the cost of a 6‑tonne device suitable for a 186 m² (4,500 ft²) home.
